Northern Alaska Trip, Fairbanks to Deadhorse, July 4th-13th, 2013

Me and my father traveled from Fairbanks, Alaska, and drove up to Deadhorse, also referred to as Prudhoe Bay. We spent 2 nights in Coldfoot, which is south of the Atigun Pass, and also spent 5 days in Deadhorse, which is north of the Pass and abuts the Arctic Ocean. The only way to legally get to the Arctic Ocean from Deadhorse (unless you are one of the local oil workers), is to sign up for a Shuttle tour several days before the date of the tour. I didn't take the Shuttle to the ocean, but I definitely will next time I visit Deadhorse.

The photos in this gallery were taken by me during our excursion. The sun never set during the time we were in Alaska; needless to say, I spent a great deal of time and effort photographing the wildlife along the way. I literally had at least 500 mosquitoes bite me on this trip! I hope you enjoy viewing these photos (:
