Jabiru
from one of the many rice fields around Palo Verde National Park in Costa Rica. Huge thanks to Greg Lavaty for the advice and recommendation to get there and equal thanks to my new friend, José Carlos Castillo Rojas, who I met at the park, and who also advised me to hit the rice fields up once again! My family and I ended up coming across three individual Jabirus on our way out of the park during sunset, and just after a beautiful rainbow opened our eyes to the beauty of this beautifully created world. Btw., this stork is huge, it dwarfs the Wood Stork in size! 🙌✝️
