    Oak Titmouse

Ever since I can remember, my grandmother, of all the people I've ever known, had the best way of showing that she loved me. She loved to stare out the window at the birds in her yard, usually with binoculars in front of her face. She always said that her favorite bird was the Tufted Titmouse...something about that species' kind personality around other birds. Needless to say, when I crossed paths with this Oak Titmouse (lifer for me) in western California last month, I felt something beautiful, some "thing" invisible and priceless, a God moment, although my bird guide was cussing up a storm 24/7 lol. Btw, this Titmouse can only be found in the far western edge of North America, most are in California. God bless!
